A operação de buscas por Vitalina Galvão, de 86 anos, residente no Cartaxo e desaparecida desde segunda-feira, contou com o envolvimento de mais de uma centena de pessoas no terreno, entre voluntários e meios operacionais.
Dos meios operacionais, “fizeram parte mais de 50 elementos dos Bombeiros Municipais do Cartaxo, Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP), Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR), Associação Humanitária de Busca e Salvamento (ASSBS), Associação de Caçadores do Cartaxo e Associação Portuguesa de Apoio e Proteção da Floresta, que exploraram uma vasta área de terreno com o auxílio de cinco drones e cães de busca e salvamento”, conforme escreve a autarquia em comunicado de imprensa.
Para além dos meios operacionais, foram mais de 60 pessoas que aceitaram o apelo da Câmara Municipal do Cartaxo e se juntaram à operação. O que, para o edil Pedro Ribeiro, e citado no mesmo comunicado, “mostrou o forte sentido que temos de comunidade, quando a ela somos convocados. Num dia, de uma manhã para a tarde, conseguimos montar uma operação com mais de seis entidades competentes envolvidas e mais de 60 voluntários”.
O autarca sublinha ainda “o empenho e esforço com que estas pessoas participaram na busca de uma concidadã nossa”. Na manhã de hoje, dia 8, reiniciaram as buscas pelo paradeiro da idosa, com uma nova concentração de voluntários a partir do edifício da Câmara Municipal.
